This highly anticipated expansion of the existing 7,500 square foot museum located within the Chapman University campus features the adaptive-reuse of a neighboring industrial building. An open air courtyard enclosed by a large steel frame structure will join the two buildings together bringing the new size of the museum to roughly 38,000 square feet - nearly tripling the museum’s square footage.

A 16-foot by 40-foot mosaic tile mural by the artist and architect Millard Sheets is mounted overhead on the cantilevered steel truss, greeting museum patrons as they make their way into the courtyard.
