The Terre Techne installation, suspended in Terminal 1 at the San Francisco International Airport, is intended as a monument to technological innovation and organic connectivity. In the inverted landscape, technology replaces the root network , symbolically becoming the source of growth and connectivity in the digital age. Consisting of six suspended “tectonic plates," The structural forms were precise stainless steel castings up to to 10' in height. Nous provided the engineering and fabrication drawings for the castings and armature support system.
