Designed by ORA, the restaurant’s latest location explores the intersection of Los Angeles and Japanese design sensibilities through collaboration with local designers and makers celebrating natural materials, finely crafted details and Southern California’s defining indoor-outdoor ethos.

Nous designed the anchorage of the decorative hanging wood screen panels fabricated by Angel City Lumber from reclaimed wood sourced across Los Angeles and coordinated heavy planter loadings with the team. The restaurant fit out achieved tight coordination among designers as well as MEP and food consultant trades. Located on the ground floor of the new mixed-use Nine Thousand One building, Chef Tyson Cole’s menu winds through Japanese-inflected cold and hot small plates, sushi, sashimi, and a few omakase options.
