The Wonderland hillside project redevelops a challenging site in the Hollywood Hills where a single-family residence once occupied 3 parcels. The houses each step down with the topography, featuring roof top terraces overlooking the canyon to enjoy the sunset light of Los Angeles.
Each volume features multiple steps in framing to create occupiable deck space with bridges connecting to the steep hillside beyond. The structure was designed to allow for multiple glazing locations in order to provide maximized natural light for the user.
